I've been breeding Australian Cattle Dogs Since 1992,
mostly as a hobby until the horse accident I suffered in 1997.
I couldn't go back to my 9 - 5 job after the injuries I suffered.
I then focused on my Cattle Dogs. I still limit how many puppies
I produce to be able to love each dog and each puppy that I am
blessed with. I strive to produce a better quality puppy with
each and every litter.
I was introduced into a dog breeding program by a veterinarian
in 1965. I hate to admit this as it shows my age ! I mentored
under this man for about 4 years. He was primarily focused on
nutrition. He believed that what you feed your animal is what
makes him healthy and ready to compete at top performance levels.
Therefore, I have always emphasized diet and nutrition. My puppies
are well fed. The Momma dogs are fed cooked whole chickens and
supplements that encourage proper growth of the puppies at a
critical age. When You buy a puppy from the OUTBACK , he/she
will be fat and healthy. The pups are raised in an aircontrolled
environment with a doggie door to an outside yard with grass
and trees. The puppies then are exposed to a lot of noises and
the outside environment. I personally handle the pups daily (I
can't help myself) They get lots of lip kisses. When the pups
leave here, they are healthy and ready to be loved; also housebroken
to a doggie door.
